7:30Overview Located 100 km away from Sharm El Sheikh, this is an absolutely fantastic day trip! Dahab, known as the "Gold City," is famous for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning natural beauty, offering a perfect contrast to the busy city life of Sharm. Highlights include snorkeling at the famous Canyon dive site, riding a camel along the coast, shopping in the city, and an exciting 4x4 Jeep Safari to the Colored Canyon (Salama), followed by Bedouin tea in a tent.
Pick up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh You will be picked up usually around 7:30 AM (exact time depends on your hotel’s location).
Camel Ride along the Beach Camel riding along the coast is a common and beloved part of the Dahab experience, especially for visitors coming from Sharm El Sheikh.
Snorkeling at Dahab’s Canyon The "Canyon," located 3 km south of Dahab city, is well worth a visit. While the deep canyon itself is for divers, snorkelers can explore the beautiful lagoon and reef drop-off accessible from the shore. Look for scorpionfish hiding on the edges of the lagoon and discover the abundant underwater life of the drop-off, home to parrotfish, clownfish, and pufferfish.
Note: Our guides will be with you at all times during snorkeling to ensure your safety.
Traditional Bedouin Lunch by the Sea We stop at a relaxed seaside hangout, a popular place for divers and snorkelers to refuel. Enjoy a delicious meal including Egyptian kofta, chicken, rice, salad, and fresh bread.
Shopping in Dahab Dahab offers a unique and culturally rich shopping experience, very different from the large malls in Sharm El Sheikh. Browse for souvenirs, local art, spices, herbs, and oils.
Drive to Colored Canyon (Salama) We continue approximately 70 km north toward Nuweiba to reach the Canyon Salama area. Here, a 4x4 Jeep Safari will be waiting to transfer you off-road to the canyon entrance. Spend about one hour walking and exploring the magnificent colorful gorge.
Back to Sharm El Sheikh You will be transferred back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. The drive back is just as enjoyable, giving you the chance to see the Sinai desert from a closer, more intimate perspective.
