Excursion Itinerary

Hotel Pick-up: You will be picked up from your hotel (usually around 1:00 AM, depending on location) to begin the drive to Cairo with your English-speaking representative.

Arrival in Cairo: The estimated arrival time in Cairo is 8:30 AM. Upon arrival, you will be met by your certified English-speaking guide at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) to officially begin your tour.
- Nile Felucca Ride (Optional) This optional experience offers a relaxing ride on a traditional Nile felucca (sailboat). Enjoy the refreshing breeze, take in stunning views of the city from the water, and get a unique perspective of the great Nile River. (Extra charge: 10 EURO).
- The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) The GEM is a world-class facility designed to showcase Egypt's incredible heritage. Located near the Pyramids, its architecture combines modern design with traditional motifs, offering stunning views of the Giza Plateau. The museum houses thousands of artifacts, including the magnificent Tutankhamun galleries and the Solar Boat Museum.
- Lunch Lunch will be served at a local restaurant near the Pyramids area. Please note that drinks are not included in the cost of the meal and are available for an extra charge.
- Shopping You will have approximately one hour to shop for souvenirs and Egyptian goods. (If you are not interested in shopping, you are welcome to wait in the comfort of our air-conditioned bus.)
- Giza Plateau Discovery (The Pyramids of Giza) Witness these ancient wonders, built over 4,500 years ago as monumental tombs for the Pharaohs. The Giza Necropolis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and includes the three most famous pyramids in the world: the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure.
Your tour culminates at The Great Sphinx of Giza, one of ancient Egypt's most iconic monuments. This mysterious and enigmatic statue, featuring a lion's body and a human face, stands at the edge of the plateau, guarding the pyramids.
- Drive Back to Sharm You will depart Cairo around 6:00 PM. Upon arrival in Sharm El Sheikh, our representative will meet you and escort you back to your hotel.

Questions & Answers:
A: Yes, this is very important. You cannot travel to Cairo with just the free "Sinai Only" stamp. You must have the full Egyptian Entry Visa (the visa sticker that costs ~$35 USD). If you already have the full visa sticker in your passport: You are good to go! If you only have the "Sinai Only" stamp: You generally need to purchase the visa at Sharm El Sheikh airport before we depart. Please contact us immediately upon booking so we can advise you on the current procedure.
Yes, you must bring your original passport (not a copy). There are several police checkpoints on the road from Sharm to Cairo where passports are checked.
Yes! The GEM is now the highlight of our Cairo tours. You will have access to the main galleries, including the complete Tutankhamun collection (displayed together for the first time in history) and the Hanging Obelisk. It is a completely different experience from the old museum in Tahrir Square.
We typically spend about 2 to 2.5 hours at the GEM. This gives you enough time to see the major highlights, the Grand Hall, and the Tutankhamun galleries with your guide, plus some free time for photos.
The distance is approximately 500km. The drive usually takes 6 to 7 hours, depending on traffic and convoy checkpoints. Departure: We pick you up from your hotel around 1:00 AM – 2:00 AM. Return: You will be back at your hotel around 11:00 PM – Midnight.
Lunch: Yes, a buffet lunch at a local restaurant (often with a Nile or Pyramids view) is included in your ticket. Drinks at the restaurant are extra. Breakfast: Breakfast is not provided by us. Please ask your hotel reception one night in advance to prepare a "Breakfast Box" for you to take with you.
