Sunrise (approx. 4:00 AM): Best for seeing the desert wake up, cooler temperatures, and fewer crowds. Sunset (approx. 3:00 PM): The most popular option. It offers stunning photography opportunities as the sun dips behind the mountains, often combined with a Bedouin dinner.
You can, but you don't have to. Most quad centers sell traditional scarves and rent/sell goggles for a small fee (usually $2–$3USD).
Water bottle. Sunscreen. Small change (Egyptian Pounds or small USD/EUR notes) for tips, buying tea, or renting gear. Camera/Phone (ensure it is secured in a zipped pocket or bag).
Yes. You ride in a convoy (line) behind a lead guide. Speed is regulated, and the terrain for standard tours is generally flat and sandy. Note: If you are an experienced rider wanting speed, book a Private Quad Tour to avoid being slowed down by a large group.
No. The ride is bumpy and vibrates significantly. It is strictly not recommended for pregnant women or anyone with history of back/spinal injuries.
Most "3-hour" excursions include transfer time. The actual time spent driving the quad bike is typically 45 minutes to 1 hour each way (approx. 1.5 – 2 hours total driving time), with a stop at a Bedouin tent in the middle.
Yes, but you must stop the bike to take photos safely. Note: There is usually a tour photographer who will film the group and sell photos/DVDs at the end. You are under no obligation to buy these.
