7:30Located 100 km from Sharm El Sheikh, this is an absolutely fantastic day trip! Dahab, known as the "Gold City," is famous for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning natural beauty, offering a perfect contrast to the busy city life of Sharm.
1. Pick-up from your Hotel You will be picked up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
Time: Usually around 7:30 AM (exact time depends on your hotel’s location).
2. Camel Ride on the Beach Start your adventure with a camel ride along the coast. This is a beloved part of the Dahab experience and offers a unique way to enjoy the sea views.
3. Snorkeling at Dahab’s Canyon Located 3km south of Dahab city, the Canyon is a world-class site. While the deep canyon is for divers, snorkelers can explore the beautiful lagoon and the reef drop-off accessible from the shore. Look for scorpionfish hiding near the edges, or discover the abundant marine life at the drop-off, including parrotfish, clownfish, and pufferfish.
Note: Our professional guides will be with you the entire time during snorkeling for your safety and enjoyment.
4. Traditional Bedouin Lunch by the Sea Relax at a seaside hangout—a favorite spot for divers and snorkelers to refuel. Enjoy a delicious lunch including Egyptian Kofta, grilled chicken, rice, fresh salad, and bread.
5. Shopping in Dahab Dahab offers a unique and culturally rich shopping experience, very different from the large malls in Sharm El Sheikh. You will have free time to browse for souvenirs, art, spices, herbs, and oils.
6. Al Toylat Canyon (The Small Colored Canyon) Enjoy a 15-minute walk through this beautiful valley featuring colorful rocks and great photo opportunities. We will stop here for traditional Bedouin tea while you take in the scenery.
7. Return to Sharm El Sheikh You will be transferred back to your hotel. The drive back is just as enjoyable, as you get to see the Sinai desert from a closer, more intimate perspective.

No. The free "Sinai Only" visa stamp (valid for 15 days) that you get at Sharm El Sheikh airport is sufficient for Dahab. You do not need the $25 full Egypt visa unless you plan to travel further to Cairo or Luxor.
Yes, there are several military checkpoints along the road. You must bring your original passport. Drivers will often collect passports to show the officers; this is standard procedure.
