Good to Know:
This excursion is ideal for families and first-time visitors who want a gentle, authentic desert experience and a memorable introduction to Bedouin culture.
The ride duration varies but is typically a leisurely trek of about 30 to 60 minutes through the Sinai desert landscape.
Bedouin tea is a traditional, sweet black tea often brewed with local desert herbs like Habak (wild mint/marjoram).
The afternoon tours are specifically timed for a sunset viewing, which is one of the main highlights of the desert experience.
A basic Camel Ride & Bedouin Tea tour can last 1.5 to 3 hours in total (including transfers). If the tour is combined with a Bedouin dinner, show, or stargazing, the duration is usually 4 to 6 hours.
The most popular time is the late afternoon/sunset trip, as the desert temperatures are cooler, and the sunset over the Sinai mountains is spectacular. Morning trips (sunrise) are also available.
Sun Protection: Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a wide-brimmed hat or a headscarf (a local shemagh or arafat scarf is great for protecting your face from sun and sand). Water: Some tours provide water, but it's wise to bring extra. Camera/Phone: For photos of the desert and sunset. Cash: For tips (Bedouin hosts/guides) or purchasing any extras like souvenirs, shisha (water pipe), or soft drinks.
Yes, scarves are often available for purchase from vendors at the Bedouin camp or the safari station before the ride begins.
